The Southampton Village Police Department's Communications Division
Police radio communications is the keystone to immediate and responsive police service. When the radio system fails to perform its function, police efficiency is diminished. Every member of the Southampton Village Police Department shares the responsibility of maintaining efficient police radio communication, by adhering to the requirements of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and operating under the dictates of common courtesy and consideration for all users of the radio system.

The Southampton Village Police Department employs 7 Public Safety Dispatchers. Included in their responsibilities are the answering of phone calls from residents for calls for service from the non emergency line (631)283-0056 as well as from the enhanced 911 system put in place in 2000.

Calls for service include all police, fire, and ambulance requests within the Village of Southampton and the Southampton Fire District.
