A Message From The Chief
Welcome to the Southampton Village Police Department Website. We are a New York State Accredited Agency that stresses professionalism, integrity, and fairness. The Village of Southampton is located on Long Island, in Suffolk County, New York, about a 2 hour drive east from New York City. It is a diverse community with a full time population of just over 6,500 citizens and a summer time population of over 35,000.

All calls will be kept confidential.
What is E-Policing? E-Policing is our way of bringing community policing to the Internet. The E-Policing program enables Administrative Officers and Detectives to e-mail newsletters, crime trends and other important information to you.
Explorers Open House Neighborhood Watch
The law enforcement explorer program is sponsored by the Southampton Village Police Department as a community-based policing program. This successful program is designed to educate and involve young men and women in police operations and to interest them in law enforcement functions whether they enter the law enforcement field or not. Please join Southampton Village Police Department personnel at the 1st Tuesday Open House at 7:00 pm at all area commands. On the first Tuesday of every month, citizens have an opportunity to meet the officers who work in your neighborhood and discuss issues of concern. Timely topics will be presented each month by members of specialized units. Neighborhood Watch is an organized group of neighbors who observe more closely any activity or situation that depreciates the appearance or safety of their community. Neighborhood Watch is, as the name implies, a group of people who see the subtle, and not so subtle changes of their neighborhood.
